I have a Z5801 that shipped with the Intel graphics card.  Pretty useless as most games don';t support it, plus it has not GPU so i cant use it for things like rendering in 3D software using it's GPU

Sad days.

I'm looking to see what is a good reasonably priced Nvidia (or poss AMD) graphics card which will fit the machine (I am told by Acer that ther eIS a second port in there for a second card..)

What would i need to be looking for when i am buying so as to make sure it will work properly?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

You'll find below the original graphic boards (low profile) for Aspire Z5801 (A-I-O):

    Spoiler
    VG.PCPT5.206VGA BD.1GB.GT520.1GB.D/H.WO/BRT
    VG.PCPT5.208VGA BD.1GB.GT520.1GB.D/H.WO/BRT
    VG.PCPT5.306VGA BD.GT530.2GB.W/DVI/HDMI.LP
    VG.PCPT5.308VGA BD.GT530.2GB.W/DVI/HDMI.LP

You're able to mount compatible graphic boards like:

    Sapphire HD5450 - 1Gb DDR3 (low profile bracket included)

    Asus GT520 - 2Gb DDR3 (Low profile)

    etc... many choice

    Your Power Supply Unit: 250W

You have to calculate the total power with this tool.

Sadly the Asus link is a repeat of the sapphire one.

    Could you possibly repost?
