hello everyone,
This morning I shutdown my notebook using the touchscreen. I turned it on a while ago and the touchscreen wont work. Any thoughts on why this would happen? There were no updates. I tryed using a restore point from a while back but that didn't help.

Hi reynolds777
Check in device manager that all drivers are working as they should be - or even check to see if there are any updated drivers available. It should be under "Human Interface Device".
If it appears OK, the drivers may have become corrupted. uninstall the drivers & restart. Reinstall them from Acer's support site.
If the above fails, then a Windows 8 refresh may work - see here. If the refresh doesn't make any difference, then a full recovery may be the only answer, just make sure you back up all your data first.
Finally, if the touchscreen STILL doesn't work, then contact Acer support for your region, to see if they can arrange a repair.
