Restore Acer Crystal Eye Webcam?

[ Edited ]

I have an Extenza 5430 laptop running Win 7 pro.

Recently I had to have the hard drive replaced for too many bad sectors.

Had a local computer shop reload Win 7 pro and recover as many files as possible.  they don't sell Acer, so I'm sure their version of Win7 Pro would be OEM and not Acer's proprietary version.

Got the rest restored either from backup or original source.

I went to "drivers and manuels" and downloaded all the software updates Those included, last but far from least the Crystal Eye webcam software.

I made sure to do that last, and rteboot after.

STILL  when I go to "all programs and click on "crystal eye webcam", what happens is precicely nothing! no evidence I ever clicked on it. Is there any way to restore the Crystal Eye webcam without Acer's proprietary version of Win 7 Pro?

If so HOW?

Any help from those with the same problem would be appreciated.

Re: Restore Acer Crystal Eye Webcam?

Honestly, the easiest option would be to check for the recovery media on the Acer Store, which would allow you to restore the system to factory defaults.
