Physical memory configuration of 5740-6378

I have the Aspire 5740-6378 and wish to double the RAM from 4 to 8 GB. According to my hardware diagnostics there are four memory slots on board, although I am only able to find two. If I can find the others I can add 2x2GB sticks instead of having to replace the existing, perfectly functional RAM with 4 GB sticks.

I'm looking for help from someone who has been down this road before, or has access to a well illustrated service manual, before I go digging too deep and maybe break something!

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Physical memory configuration of 5740-6378

This notebook supports up to 8Gb memory. However, there are only 2 memory slots on the motherboard. You may install 2*4GB memory sticks..
