Pairing my Acer Tablet to Harman/Kardon wireless speaker

I have an Acer Iconia Tab A700.  I recently received as a gift a Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio wireless speaker.  I followed the instructions on how to connect using Bluetooth and my tablet recognizes the speaker and I select it but I don't get any sound out of the speaker.  Sound continues to come out of the tablet.  Is there something that I am missing here?  I'm not sure if the problem is with the tablet or the speaker.  I have paired the speaker successfully with an IPod nano using Bluetooth so its a little confusing.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

After you checked did the sound was still on tablet?
Checked the media volume on tablet?
Reboot the A700 and re-connect the BT.

In settings I turn the Bluetooth on and I get HK Onyx Studio...choose that, it tells me that its connected but I get no sound out of the speaker. It shows a headset icon before the HK Onyx Studio.

check in A700 BT settings that headset is paired as "media audio" too.

i don't have an A700 right now but near the headset icon there will be an icon for settings, tap that and check for "media audio", enable this option too.

I checked the media option and it's still not working.  Any other thoughts?
