Ok, let's first take the changelog question first: Sorry I did not answer it before, that was not on purpose. I jussed missed the question completely!
I do not have the changelog for the BIOS unfortunately. They are commonly not released outside our HQ. I'm sorry, that's as far as I can get with that request.
For the Liveupdater.. I think I might have given you the wrong link. The Live Updater you use is indeed the latest one and the best version. Apologies. If you have installed the latest version and it can still not find any drivers, I wonder if there are updates at all.
I suggest you check some of the drivers you currently have (for example lets say your wifi driver) and check on our downloadpage if the driver offered there is the same one. You can see the version of your current driver via 'Device Manager' wich you can access by pressing the Windowskey + X simultaneously in the Live Tiles startscreen.
Awaiting your info.

Sad to hear this altough I already expected it because I only found one single changelog for Acer BIOS updates... I'm guessing it's company policy or whatever, which is a shame, because I love changelogs and am probably not the only one.

ELAN Pointing Device: Up to date.
Intel SATA AHCI Driver: Up to date.
Bluetooth Qualcomm: Newer version (v8.0.1.240) installed through Windows Update than available through http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
Intel Graphics Driver: Newer update found through http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect than available through http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
Broadcom LAN Driver: Update found through Windows update
Conclusion: The Live Updater probably is as up to date as http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers . Windows Update and http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect are more up to date so I'll keep using these two methods, but I'll keep the Live updater installed in hopes of it notifying me of BIOS updates, which are not available through Windows Update AFAIK.
Thanks again for all the info and I hope you may be able to persuade someone to (persistently) post changelogs for the BIOS updates.

It's true you may find newer drivers on the websites of each components manufacturer. But you are correct, the Live Updater tool should be in sync with the Acer download website.
The drivers that we put on our website are generally tested and approved by our guys. The drivers on the seperate manufacturers' sites may be newer, but are not approved by us. Does not really mean they are bad, we just haven't certified them ourselves. You are always free to install them if you want, but I always advise people: If your device works fine, don't update outside the updater. It may give more trouble then joy.
I would love to give you some patchnotes from the latest BIOS, but don't count on getting them. It's about as hard for me to get them, as it is for you ![]()
Have a nice day anyway, and thanks for the feedback. Enjoy the gaming!

Oh no I don't really need the changelogs anymore, but if they would have been available before then I may have been able to find the solution to my initial problem by just looking through the changelogs.
Have a nice day and thank you ![]()

Hello guys,
I read all posts here and now I'm wondering why fe. W + S + A works fine, while W + S + D don't work at all. I've got A8G1TMAKK with 8.1 and all latest updates (bios, drivers etc).

Actually it has the same reason as why the Up + Down + Left (or Up + Down + Right) do not work at the same time.
It is a very uncommon key-combination and the layout of the keyboards cirquits does not allow for this key combination to work.
If you go testing with any generic USB keyboard, you will find that a lot of them have certain combinations that lock up the use of certain other keys. Only high grade gaming keyboards often have up to 10-key or even full keyboard rollover function, but this will hardly be needed by anyone, and neither is it cheap.
Why exactly do you need th W+S+D combo? In my imagination that would mean: Walk forwards + walk backwards + strafe, wich is not really commonly used '![]()

Thanx a lot for the info ![]()
That combo is very helpful in GTA4. Pressing W (accelerate) + S (brake) + A or D (left/right) = burning tire with car rotating in one side. That won't work with fe. spacebar (handbrake).

Ah, I did not think of that one. Indeed, that is a unique situation where this keycombo is useful.
Unfortunately I don't really have a solution for this. Maybe remapping the controls to the numpad can work (or try playing with a controller/gamepad may be a better experience?)

Hello
I've bought an Acer Aspire V3- 772G yesterday, and I've got problems with the keyboard. I can't use a lot of key combinations to play a game with, and it's making the game immpossible for me to play on this laptop. For example, I can't use the up key (throttle), s key (lean back) and q key (shift up) at once, and I can't use the up key (throttle), caps lock (sit down) and left key (steering), I tried quite a lot of diffrent keys but the problem keeps repeating, when I hold throttle and lean back, I can't use something else with that.
I downloaded the driver listed in the previous pages but that hasn't fixed the problem.

I also just bought an Acer Aspire V3- 772G yesterday and am having the same problem, but with different combinations. I can't press the down key, right key, and Z key simultaneously; pressing Z overrides press down. Similarly, I can't press the up key, left key, and Z key simultaneously either. I downloaded the BIOS update but the problem remains.
Separately, when typing, I periodically encounter a problem when typing where my typing cursor randomly jumps to the mouse/trackpointer location. If the mouse/trackpad pointer is outside the text window where I am trying to type, I am booted out of that text window entirely.
The typing problem is a real hassle that goes well beyond gaming. It's happened to me, with no exaggeration, nine times to me just while typing this post. It even booted me completely off of this page when I hit "backspace" and it was interpreted by Internet Explorer as "go back to the previous webpage."
This is sadly unacceptable.
