I've just picked up an R7 571G (they offered me a huge discount over the 572, and as battery isn't important to me and I'm not an artist, I couldn't say no!), and it's impressed me more than I thought it would. In particular, that IPS screen is fantastic, and I'm staggered that they seem to have nailed the EZEL hinge on their first attempt.
It's also quite fast... but "HDD fast" rather than FAST fast, so I'm waiting for the stores to open and then I'll pop out and get Plextor's MSATA M5M to drop inside.
BUT!
No numpad! Really? It's a 15.6" laptop! Surely you can squeeze a numpad onto the next model, Acer? It would be delightful.
Also: ... hmmm... well.... oh yes! Why are two of the screws hidden underneath those rubber strips? Terrible!
Finally: a touchscreen?! SERIOUSLY? Do you know how often I have to keep washing my hands during the day now that I'm using a touchscreen?!?!?! OK, I suppose that point doesn't really count. Hmmm. More USB ports are always nice! How about a fourth USB port?
So there are my three recommendations: NUMPAD! No hidden screws. More USBs.
What other flaws have I overlooked? What else would you like to see added to the R7?

Well,
I'm a muscian (amateur) so I would've liked a dedicated line in port, just in case I don't have a usb audio interface on me.
In regards to the usb ports, it does have 4 usb ports if you use the acer plugin thingie which offers usb, vga and ethernet.
Battery is an issue for me, so a larger battery would be nice, although I really wouldn't know where they'd put it.
All in all I'extremely pleased so far (572G).

Thanks for the feedback, we're always looking for good constructive criticism on our products and where we can improve them. I just want to remind you of our Idea's Platform also available on the community. This is where you can share idea's just like these and continue to have conversation and hopefully not get buried by technical questions. I hope to see some posts over there soon!
