If weight isn't an issue, but I am concerned about the display. Could anyone enlighten me further regarding making this decision?

Both are good machines, just kinda depends on what you need. The M5 will be a little bit bigger, and has more memory and storage. The S7, if a very nice, clean looking computer that also performs well. If it were me, I would go with the S7, but it is ultimately, what you like better.
