First of all I would like to say hi to everyone ![]()
As the title of this post says, My C Drive is corrupted in my Acer Aspire V3-772G. The Last thing I did was I downloaded and Installed some software applications from Acer and all of a sudden my laptop froze and I had to force shut down using the power button and when I turned on the laptop it does not boot but instead it goes into Windows Automatic Repair and after about five minutes it fails and I get the following message:
Automatic Repair
Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC
Press "Advanced Options" to try other options to repair your PC or "Shut down" to turn off your PC.
Log file: C:\Windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

I tried everything in my knowledge to reset, refresh or repair the windows installation but with no success.
Below are the software applications that I downloaded and Installed from Acer.
1. Device Fast-Lane
2. LaunchManager
3. Live Updater
4. ePower
This is the download location URL: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

Finally I thought of checking the status of the hard drive with "DISKPART" through command prompt and then I found that the file system of my C Drive is "RAW" but the recovery partition seems to be okay. As you can see in the Screenshot below:

I am failry new to Windows 8 and I did not create a Acer Factory Recovery USB Drive because I did not have a 16/32 GB USB Drive, Finally I would be realy grateful if someone could help me solve my problem.
Thanks in Advance,

You can try the Acer e-recovery option that is set in the bios. Follow this demo.

I tried that and that also failed finally I booted the computer with Cali Linux (Live) and found out that the Hard Drive is Failing. I purchased this Laptop a few months back in UK, I am currently in Sri Lanka and unfortunately ther are no Acer Centers in Sri Lanka to get a Warrenty Claim ![]()
Thanks anyways ![]()

Sorry. Have you tried to register a claim thru the Acer site? It's usually done thru the serial number on the underside of your machine. I'm not sure how Acer will handle this claim. But at least the HD will be recorded as having failed during the warranty period.
