Aspire v3-772g 2 gpu drivers?

Hi i a new owner of an Aspire v3-772g, but i simply have 2 questions:

1.Usually you need 1 gpu drivers, but acer provides 2 of them, why?

2.And why are the drivers outdated?(2013/05/06 last update.....)

Welcome aboard, Dimarto.

If your machine is running well, I wouldn't worry about it. But if there's a problem, SET A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT FIRST, and then go to IObit.com and install their free driver updater.

Hope this helps.

Re: Aspire v3-772g 2 gpu drivers?

The reason i ask is because i keep getting a lot of application problems and the reason is the gpu drivers. Nvidia is not allowing me to install only their driver and they are asking for the intel driver first, so i guess nvidia is dependent on the intel driver.

How my application errors look like:

When i try to install the latest visual studio 2013 without intel and nvidia drivers, it lets me easily to go to the screen where i choose where to install and press next.

But when i try to install the latest visual studio 2013 with the intel driver, the setup crashes at the start even before the screen where i can start choosing anything.

Ofcourse, this is not the only case i have this problem with games also, so in conclusion the intel driver ir somehow broken and is breaking my laptop experience and is halting my programming work.

Anyone has any workarounds?

Re: Aspire v3-772g 2 gpu drivers?

Just found a solution.... For some reason the developers believe that intels integrated gpu has a higher priority than the nvidia gpu.... so if you ever have this **bleep** problem go to the nvidia control panel -> 3D settings -> and change "Preferred graphics processor" (the option will be showing right there in your face, but took me for ever to find .....) to nvidia gpu(high-performance nvidia processor)

I hope some people understand that priorities are ment to be used properly for the next time when they create a new laptop....
