I have been given a new laptop Aspire V3-531 but I cannoot access the internet. It has Windows 8. I am wireless connected but when I check my connection status it says 'limited'. Can any help with this problem?

You could try the network troubleshooter, by right clicking the icon in the system tray (near the clock) and select "Troubleshoot Problems" to see if it can find an issue. You can also try re-entering the password. I once had a friend who had connectivity problems, and after trying to connect for ages, it turned out she had misspelled her password!
Take your laptop to a friends house to see if it connects there. It may be an issue with your modem/router
You could try to uninstall the driver in Device Management, then restart your laptop. When Windows reinstalls it may then work.
If none of the above make any difference, then reinstall Windows from scratch from your recovery partition. If this fails, then you may have a problem with the wireless card, so contact support for your region.
