In preparation to upgrade to Seagate HDD 1.0 TB on my unit running MS Vista Home Premium, SP 2; I attempted to use the Acer eRecovery Management to create backup default  software; I encountered the following that just lock on my screen:

"Microsoft .NET Framework

Unhandled exception has occured in your application.  If you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue."

It will not continue.  If I try anything else in that eRecovery section once I have killed this process; it seems ok.

Any ideas . . .

    Hi wconner2

It might be that the Microsoft .Net Framework may have become corrupted, or it may point to the hard drive having some issues.

Try to reinstall the .Net Framework to see if this solves the problem. If it still persists, then try Acer support for your region to see if recovery disks are available for your Aspire 6930 - you can then use them on your new HDD.
