So I've recently purchased an Acer Veriton M4630G. It comes installed with 8GB of RAM. I bought an additional 8GB of Crucial RAM and installed it only to have my new PC BSOD
--- So I contacted Acer support. They suggested I update my BIOS, specifically:
The link Prathish shared for installing the BIOS update seem to be the wrong instructions for the M4630G BIOS download. For one - my system is 64Bit W7 --- Secondly - there's neither a WINFALSH_ADVANCED folder, nor an executable file in my BIOS .zip download. So I need assistance please.
If someone can spell out in the simplest of terms:
- Where is my correct BIOS update download? Please link to it.
- Will updating my BIOS make it so the new 8GB Crucial RAM modules will integrate without issues or BSOD?
- If I must create a DOS bootable USB or some such - instructions on how to go about it will be wonderful!
As for my system - Here are a few specs:
- Acer Veriton M4630G | i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
- BIOS Version/Date currently listed as Acer P21-A2, 8/7/2013
- 64-Bit Windows 7
Virtual ((hugs)) for your assistance!
J.
