I have an ACER Aspire V5 and the keyboard stopped working. It was bought in Holland less than a year old so I took it to our local computer dealer, PC MAC in Noordhoek and asked them to send it on to ACER for a warranty repair.
It was away for some time and then sent back unrepaired as the warranty apparently did not cover computers used in the owners' home country. (???) I then sent evidence that the computer was used for business purposes while travelling overseas and Acer agreed that the computer would be repaired under warranty. The computer was sent to Acer again in time before the warranty ran out.
Yesterday the computer was again returned unrepaired with a note saying that the computer was out of warranty and would in any event not be repaired as it was not covered. All of this has taken around 4 months, not once did Acer offer to repair the computer out of warranty anyway, they would rather send it up and down and waste everyone's time.
Therefore I say ACER's SERVICE SUCKS BIGTIME!!! and I won't be buying any of their products any time soon and I'll be telling everyone I know the same.

I'm sorry for the troubles you've been throught. I hope they provided a bit more detail as to why they wouldn't repair it the second time and why they considered it to be out of warranty at that point, if they did not I can certainly understand the frustration on your part.
If you would send me a private message (please don't put the info here in the public!!!) I'll gladly ask that someone review it and see what can be done to resolve this.
Thanks,
Cory
