I have an An Acer Aspire v3 471 with Intel HD 4000.
I have been wondering if I can use the generic driver update for Intel HD 4000, the latest one, on my laptop.
Found below:

I find the driver for the intel 4000 fairly old as it is still 9.17.10.2867 and was on 2011.
Thanks.

Yes, it will work, even if that doesn't work you can always revert to the old driver, if you don't have any issues with the current driver, you don't have to update to newer driver.

Well it is not that i have issues with my driver, it's just that from what i read from the internet, updating your driver will give you some 'boosts'. So i was thinking maybe i'll try updating my driver.
So is it safe to update?
