Hello everyone, 

I am working in one of the acer retailers and I noticed that all of our stock for acer aspire e1-472g's dvd drive does not work. The scenario is like in "My computer", you double cliked the dvd drive and the dvd drive tray came out. After you put in the ms office 2013 installer. You will notice there will be a loading green bar. I have waited for the bar to fill up but nothing happened. I tried the dvd installer on a different model and it was able to run on that computer. Tried different dvd but the acer e1 unable to read the dvd. 

I would to ask for any solution to fix this problem RATHER THAN SENDING ALL OF OUR UNITS BACK TO ACER because for me, it was a dissapointment.

if the drive open, isn't it working?

autoplay was disable by Microsoft need to run manually

I have an E1-571 and have the exact same problem. I set it to autoplay and still get the sound of dvd turning and when green line loads at top nothing. Puzzled.
