Anybody had this problem?

I connected usb modem HSPDA Huawei E220 to micro usb slot using micro to usb cable..

But it won't even detect it..

Problem is, the usb port on the keyboard dock actually detect it and i can use the modem just fine..

So it obviously has something to do with micro usb and usb port difference..

I hope there's a solution for this cos it's kinda troubling bringing the keyboard all the time..

Not detecting or having a problem (second will show up as either an unknown device or a device with a problem in Device Manager). I suspect the keyboard USB may have nore power than the W51x series mini port.

Doesn't the w511 have built in 3g connectivity?  You just want the faster speed from the HSPA stick?

Hmmm if it's power problem then why does it have no problem detecting my external 1tb hdd?

The simcard for modem is encrypted i think..

when i used directly on w511 the speed became really slow..
