Just bought a Acer AX3-100. I have a VGA splitter attached to the onboard video card, but it won't detect the second monitor.
Both monitors show a picture (so there is nothing wrong with the monitors or connection), they just show exactly the same thing. Since it detects both monitors as "1" it gives no option to "extend" the monitor from "1" to "2" which is ultimatley is what I need to do.
So the question is: Is the onboard graphics on the unit capable of supporting 2 monitors? And if so, why is it detecting both my monitors as "1" and just duplicating it.
Thanks!

You have one VGA output. You are splitting the single output.
Try connecting a monitor to the HDMI out for a second video output.
