HI, so I am freaking out, I had a full scan of my laptop yesterday, and it I noticed it kept on scanning a rootkit. I searched it and I found it's malicious but McAfee didn't detect it.
Another problem that pose to me is that, whenever I leave my laptop on for the night, in the morning, I open up task manager and look at up time, it say it has been up for more than one day wherein, it's been up only for like 12 hours.. weird... I noticed the same thing a few days ago. any help please.

Hi iankenneth
Download & install Malwarebytes. When installing, uncheck the trial version option. Update it & run a full scan. If anything is found, you will have the option of deleting it. Re-boot & run another full scan, if it comes back clean, then it is safe to assume the rootkit(s) are gone.
Alternatively, (and this may cure the Task Manager problem) backup all your data & to re-install Windows.
