shadow in corner of display

I have an Aspire 5755-6647 notebook that just started getting a shadow in the bottom right area of the display. It's covering a fairly large area. Is there anything I can do to fix this other than taking it to the shop for repairs?

No, you should send the system in for an Acer technician to look at and repair.
