hey folks,

ive got an acer travelmate 8372, running win. 7 x32 using a Conexant High Definition Audio soundcard, and the driver is located in the system32/drivers folder listed as CHDRT.sys

ive been trying to find a way to enable "stereo mix" so i can record live mixes i do with my computer. i have tried all sorts of tips and tricks (enabling disabled devices, Abyssmedia's i-sound recorder, vitual cable application, etc.) but nothing seems to work.

i think acer has completely disabled this function. acer or conexant or windows.

has anyone developed a hack to rewrite the code for the CHDRT.sys file? ive been looking into this, but cant find anything online.

if anyone can help, please do.
im really losing faith in acer due to this issue.
