Hi - new poster, so excuse if this question has been raised before; I have the Aspire One D270 W7 netbook with 1GB of memory, and the system runs fairly slowly. It seems to perk up if I use a USB stick for Readyboost, but that means I have a chunk of plastic sticking out of my netbook which is prone to accidents. Would like to use the SD slot, but the card I put in there comes up as read only, and despite reinstalling the USB drivers and formatting the card (as advised by various sites) I can't seem to change this. And no, it's not the switch on the card - it works fine in another (Vista) laptop. Anyone any other insights on how to write data to the card?
Thanks in advance!

Can you let everyone know what type, brand, capacity of SD card you are attempting to use?
Are you using an adapter with the card?
