I have to make some assumptions here as to what you're experiencing.
You need to connect your PC and your xbox to the same network. I assume your PC is connected to your home network via Wifi, and your Xbox is either connected via ethernet cable or you have the Wifi adapter that Xbox sells separately. Either way, as long as both are connected to the same network, there are some sharing settings that have to be in place so xbox can view content off of your PC. Since the operating system (Windows) and the Xbox are both Microsoft products, their resources would be best to help you make that connection.
