If you used a Pattern lock and enter the incorrect pattern 5 times there is a Forgot Pattern option available. This option is only displayed if you configured a Google account on your tablet. If the Forgot Pattern option is displayed, you can use it to enter your user information and unlock the tablet. The PIN or Password Locks do not have this feature.

If you set up a PIN or Password lock on the tablet, there is no way to unlock it without using the correct input. If you cannot remember the correct input, the tablet must be sent in for service to remove the password.
