The lucky owner of a Acer Aspire XC100 need to reinstall Windows.

BUT the key sequence ALT F10 doesn't work.

Cant start the erecovery (outside Windows).

How can I get it to work?

Hi,

If the operating system in your computer is Windows 8, ALT+F10 option will not work. You can try the following steps to perform the recovery. Make sure to backup all the data before recovery. There will be data loss.

From the login screen, click the power icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

While holding Shift, click Restart.

Click Troubleshoot.

Click Reset Your PC.

Click Next.

The system will reboot and begin Preparing to Reset the PC.

At the Reset your PC screen, click Just remove my files.

Click Reset.
