I own a Acer Aspire 5315 series that has alot of important pictures and information on it that I need.  I was defraging and cleaning out some files to make it operate more efficiently, and I must have deleted something crucial for the computer to function correctly.  After rebooting it, It displays a window that says "Startup repair is checking your system for problems" and has a loading bar with a FINISH button at the bottom.  After about 5 minutes another smaller window pops up and says "Startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically" then gives me the option of sending or not sending the information about the problem.  Then the computer proceeds to shut off again.  PLEASE HELP ME, I HAVE LIKE 5 YEARS worth of important informatio I need

I would grab a Flashdrive (Or CD/DVD, which ever you prefer, but I prefer a Flashdrive.) and burn Ubuntu Linux on there (Very easy and free)

The boot into the Flashdrive you have Ubuntu burned on and you will have the choice to install right there, or use it as a Live CD, A Live CD will basically just run Ubuntu on the Flashdrive as if it was installed.

You now can get a OTHER flashdrive and transfer over all you documents you need over to it so you can do a fresh installation of Windows (Or from a back up partition).

I have used it while trying to solve the issue with my hard drive before finally giving up and sending it to support (written about on another thread).

You just need to download an .iso of an operating system or drive access tool.  For your purposes, this one is probably good (is what I was trying): http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html   Then you put it on the usb with the Rufus software.  In the menu there is "Parted magic" which has software in it that should allow you to access your drive (I say should, because it didn't work for me, but presumably your drive is more functional).
