You can be upgraded to Windows 8 Pro after you have completed the first time setup of Windows 7 Professional on your system. Once Windows 7 Professional has loaded, use the following steps to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro:
- Click on the Start menu and click All Programs.
- In the programs list click the Acer folder, then click the Acer eRecovery Management icon.
- Windows User Account Control may ask for your permission to run this program; click Yes.
- From the Acer eRecovery Management window on the left, click Restore, then click Restore Operating System to Factory Defaults.
- On the Confirmation screen, select Yes, and click Start.
- Select Windows 8 for your Operating System, and then click OK.
- Click OK to confirm restoration. Your computer will restart.
- After the computer restarts click Next if you agree to the notice on your screen.
- Next you will see a final confirmation screen. Click Next, and then click OK to start the recovery process.
- The recovery process may take a while. You will get a confirmation screen when it is finished.
- Click OK to restart your computer.
At any point you want to revert back to Windows 7, you can launch the Acer eRecovery Management software and follow these steps but instead select Windows 7 as your Operating system
