I recently put windows 8 on my acer aspire z5700 and have had nothing but trouble so have gone back to windows 7 but would like to know if I can download the original operating system for this computer from the acer site anywhere. thanks. Carol

It is not possible to download the factory shipped OS. But you can purchase recovery discs. Please refer the link below to know how to purchase the recovery discs.

When you installed Windows 8, did you overwrite the Acer recovery partition?

Most Acer machines come with a "Recovery Partition" ( i think they call it Acer eRecovery) which can be used to get your computer back to a factory state. 

Also, it is possible to create Recovery Media using the preloaded Acer Software on most Acer Computers.
