I went through all steps listed in this post and still my battery is not charging. If I connect battery to the power is working but without AC adapter power will not turn of is like battery is not there.
I tried another solution going to: 1 -control panel/device manager 2- unistalled Microsoft AC adapter and Microsoft ACPI - Compliant Control Method Battery. 3- Turned off laptop 4- Removed battery 5- Installed battery 6- Turned on laptop again.
I have repeated the same proccedure and updated the drivers in Device Manager to have the latest ones for AC and battery and additionally I used a different Acer charger from another Acer laptop to confirm charger is not the problem but...
Nothing worked so far.
Any advice would be appreciated. I bought a laptop but is currently is stuck to the desk as a desktop
