There are several components which work together to power the system.
Can you power the system on the AC adapter without the battery installed?
If not, it is likely the AC adapter and you may benefit from replacing the adapter.
If that does not correct the issue, it could be the mainboard or power board in the system. This would require service to correct. I would suggest contacting technical support in your region for further assistance with this issue.
