Hello all,

I bought Acer Aspire E1-571 with Windows 8 64 some months ago, for some reason I cannot get wifi to work at higher speed than 72 Mbps?

My router is setup correctly and my desktop with D-Link card is connecting with 300 Mbps.

Is there something I could do about it? Wireless is supposed to be 'n' grade in this laptop...

I show that this system ships with a 1 x 1 wireless antennae. Although you can configure it to work with an N router, the maximum speed you will be able to receive is 72 Mbs.

I have similar situation with my E1-471G. The maximum wireless speed is only 72 Mbps.

Is this the same situation that due to the antenna?

Is there away to get a higher wireless speed such as 300 Mbps on n system?

Yes, it appears the E1-471G uses a 1 x 1 as well. Unfortunately, there is not a way with this wireless card to set a higher speed.

I am surprise with the information.

The specification just tell that is support n router, that let me believe it is capable to 300 Mbps.

Hope that Acer provide a better information.

I just feel like being tricked.
