I have recently bought a Acer Aspire E1-571.
I want to optimise the battery life. Advice elsewhere sugests that you should change the battery charge settings so that it charges to a max of 70%.
However my laptop always charges to 100% and I can not find a way of altering the charge settings. I have searched the forums and have not found a thread on this anywhere regarding Windows 8.
If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

There are no settings for battery charging. The battery is designed to charge up to 100%.
If you wish to stop charging the battery at 70%, you will need to unplug the adapter from the system.
