I just purchased an Aspire ZS600 running Windows 8.
My wife does not like the on-line games.
Is there a way to load a version of Spider Solitaire similar to versions in Windows XP and Vista?

OK. I went to the MS Windows store and downloaded the Solitaire Suite. It works sort of. F4 and F7 do not seem to act as advertised. It also wants me to log on to something called Xbox. What is that and why would I need to log on so that I can play spider off-line?
Different topic.
Every once in a while my keyboard decides to switch to French characters - shown as blue alternates on the keys. Am I accidentally doing something and if so how do I switch back to English?

Hi
Sounds like you've downloaded the Microsoft Solitaire from the MS Store. It will try to get you to sign in to a Live/XBox account to track Achievements and Gamerscore which is linked to peoples XBox profiles. You don't have to create or sign in to an account if you don't want to.
Regarding the Keyboard language. I would just go in to PC Settings by swiping from the right hand side and clicking Settings. Then go to the General menu, then Language, Language Preferences, Click French and remove if you do not require it at all. If Remove is greyed out, move French down below English then you will be able to remove it.

Thanks for help. I won't log on to XBox.
I had two language choices, Canadian English and US English. I switched to US English. I think that this will work as long as not too many of you start speaking (typing) in French.
