Bought new Acer Aspire V5-573G a few days ago, fairly happy with it, of course nothing is ever perfect. 

There is a whole lot of bloarware I don't need however and I generally prefer having my own clean install anyway. 

So, has anyone had any problems with clean installs, such as driver issues?

Hi,

Make sure to create Recovery Disk before do any thing. If any thing appen during the installation, you can roleback the OS into Factory Default without any problem.

Can the recovery disk be a USB memory stick, or does it have to be a DVD? My Win7 Iconia doesn't have an optical drive

Hi,

Try this out, Go to  the Start> All Programs > Acer > eRecovery Management > Create Factory Default Disk. YOu need 16GB flash drive. Hope this will help you
