Whenever we try to play any music or stream any media the playback frequently stutters or skips. I think this may be caused by a windows update changing the way the memory is buffered but have no idea how to correct it! Any adice gratefully received!

There are a lot of variables that could be causing the issue. I might start by seeing if you're experiencing the same thing in a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox. It is possible that some malware/spyware is slowing your experience. It could be related to the Windows OS not being as efficient as it should be do to any of the above. I would start there, but you could also try reloading the OS to see if there are issues on a fresh load. Also, internet connectivity and wifi interference could contribute to this issue.
