Does anyone know why the S7 391 running windows 8.1 with the latest drivers will not run Miracast hooking up to a Netgear pushtv 3000?

Has anybody out there managed to get their S7 working with Miracast?  Would be great to hear from anybody that has!

I am assuming it is the Qualcomm Atheros wireless card but it would be really helpful to have this confirmed so that i can look into whether i can upgrade the card.  The need for this is that my mini hdmi port is broken and so I have no means of projecting content from the laptop to the tv.  Lots of emails and calls to Acer have generated no helpful insights into the problem, only immense frustration and a note to self along the lines of think twice before buying an Acer machine in future!!
