I found out about the KB case a couple of days ago, almost bought the W700 without knowing about it ![]()
I hear a couple of things. First, there were connetivity issues with the wifi and bluetooth that were fixed with the version that comes with the kb case. Is this true? Has acer said anything about this?
Has acer said anything about US availability?
I checked the Canadian store, I saw a noticed they list the w700 and the w700P. Is the actual tablet in these packages any different?
Finally, I guess, how can a you get a hold of one of the KB case version in the us?

I just bought the W700P-6821 (from CostCentral.com, in the U.S.) about two weeks ago. It came with the integrated keyboard/case.
The unit I got was brand new and had the latest software and drivers already installed (at least, Live Update didn't find anything to update), and I have had no wifi or Bluetooth issues of any sort -- no disconnects, and my signal strength and speed are fine at the far end of my house away from the router.
I'm not sure about any hardware differences between the W700 and the W700P. Of course, the W700P comes with Windows 8 Professional. The one I got also did not have the bloatware people have mentioned, like the virus protection and such; the only bloatware on mine was the trial edition of MS Office and Evernote. Three other differences I noted between what I received and what had been mentioned in the online reviews I had read: it came with a recovery partition, not DVDs; it came with a nice (Acer-branded) capacitive stylus; and the scaling factor was pre-set to 150% (like the Surface Pro) instead of the 100% that reviewers had complained was too small. (I've set mine back to 100% -- I want to use that resolution.)

Thanks wmm! Super helpful.
Shame though, I get a promotional discount through work for the acer store so cost central isn't an option : (
