I have a v3-571G-6622 and wanted to hook up an Xbox and use the laptop's monitor as the screen. Is this possible? If so, is it bad for the screen?
Yes, I know TVs are cheaper, but I just had surgery and need to use the laptop in bed. Using the bedroom TV is not an option since its too far from the bed.
If this is not an option, does anyone have any other suggestions? I currently have to sit in the bed and need a comfortable option.

Unfortunately, the ports are output only, and you would not be able to input HDMI from the Xbox to the notebook.
I don't have a good option for you, but hopefully someone else will. Hope you get up and about soon.
