Do I have to take the whole back off to add some more RAM?

Hi,

Yes. Without opening the case you can't add more memory. You can add up to 8 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM (dual-channel support on two soDIMMs) in your computer. You need to use two 4GB momory modules. If you are not comfortable in upgarding the memory it is better to contact any local technicians.
