Tablet wont turn on

I have an Acer Iconia A500 tablet I purchased in December of 2011.  I have a free malware app, which does just the basics.  It has slowly been getting slower and slower.  Yesterday I put my screen to sleep, my hitting the power button quickly, but when I went to turn it back on, it wouldn't accept my password. Then the screen wouldn't even turn. After many attempts, I managed to turn it off completely.  Now It wont turn on al all. I need help.  Im afraid to reset it for I don't know if that will cause me to lose all my information and everything on my tablet.  I do believe that I had the automatic back-up turned on in my settings, but I don't know where it goes or how to retrieve it... Please Help,  Krista

Take the battery out.

Plug in the AC adapter.

Attempt to turn the system on.


If that fails, you will need to contact service.
