T2042 BATTERY

i can not locate cmos battery on the motherboard of my emachines t2042 desktop.  serial no: QIP2B B08 00525.  i need to replace the battery.  i have the replacement battery but can not see where it should go.  is it on the back of the motherboard? the tower case makes access easy to only one side of the motherboard  do i need to remove the motherboard from the tower completely to access.  i swear there is no battery visible.

Unfortunately, as a ten year old eMachines desktop, this product was shipped long before Acer acquired the brand.
