Synapitics Touchpad driver on 771G

I know acer dosen't offer one, every time I try to install the generic one from Synapitics site I get only the buttons option in the settings

I've installed the generic syn driver on elantech pads with no trouble. And there are compatible ID's on the device itself (SYN1B00, SYN0002). I wonder if Acer can release a bios update for this?

are the ID's bios firmware embedded or pad firmware embedded? Could I take say the pad from a 772G and install it?
