I am not sure exactly what you are asking. What are you trying to do? If you are trying to play media files, what types of files are you trying to play, and what software are you using to play them?

howdee(sorry. you probably get that a lot)
i am looking for the same thing. i have gone through all the youtube videos, or tips and tricks and nothing has worked for me either in trying to locate the "stereo mix" option.
i think acer notebooks dont come with it anymore. mine doesnt from what i can tell. anyone else have any luck?
anyhow it might help to try the methods that didnt work for me, so here is the main "fix" for some folks:
right click on the volume mixer (that little speaker image on the bottom right of your screen).
select recording devices
right click the blank white space anywhere below the microphone image
select "show disabled devices"
(now here is where i am unsure what happens as i dont have anything come up)
some folks will see a faded "Stereo mix" option.
right click and select "Enable".
if this works for you WOO! you will likely have to restart your computer to really get it working, but thats simple enough.
hope this works for you.
