Hello,

I have a AO532h series netbook. I have replaced the original 1024x600 screen (AUO B101AW03 V0) with a 1280x720 model (AUO B101EW02 V0). The higher res screen is listed in Apendix B of the service guide under Test Compatible Components.

The issue I am having is that in the bios and in windows the screen is "cropped" (see video link below). I beleive this to be a bios/driver issue. Please help! The odd thing is that if I boot into a version of Ubuntu from usb, the whole screen works. So I know it is compatable I just can't figure out the windows side.

In the Test Compatible Components section it references a "NAV50 series Compatibility Test
Report released by the Acer Mobile System Testing Department" Where can I get this report or anything to fix the issue.

Maybe it's my eyes, Neruve, but it looked like you went to full-screen right at the end of the video.

At any rate, your $300 rig gets rave reviews for the amount of power it packs into a low-cost netbook. Since it came out, you can buy more powerful computers for less, because prices have gone down. One review mentioned the low-resolution screen that comes with your netbook. When you put a higher-resolution monitor on a low-powered machine like yours, you're heading for trouble.

But your netbook did get a bad review for how slow it is. With an integrated graphics card and 1 gigabyte of RAM, this machine is going to struggle with a more powerful monitor. If you do mange to resolve the problem, you're going to have to sacrifice more speed than the higher resolution merits.

However, you can go into Control Panel, Display, and on the left side, select "Adjust Resolution." Make sure that everything is all right there. Windows selects the most efficient resolution and you might be able to change that or the orientation.
