it happens to me too. They suggested the pinhole test which didn't work, obviously a much bigger problem...so they told me to send it in and it would take up to 2 weeks to receive it back. But everyone that I have read that did that got it back with the same problem still...

Thanks for your suggestion.
Do you have a Technician in East Africa?
But as you might have noticed from other comments on the issues, it looks like ACER does not have a solution.

I have the same problem with my S7. The battery is fully charged, yet sometimes it will not turn on/stay on unless the A/C adapter is connected. A laptop that is not able to run on battery is unacceptable.
Has anybody who has sent their S7 to Acer for repair of this issue received it back from Acer with this serious defect properly repaired? If Acer is failing to address this problem, then perhaps we need to consider some form of collective action. Open to suggestions.

I reccently emailed them about the problem and they are trying to say that it must be my battery that needs to be replaced...Seems weird for a battery to go bad after a few months and that is fully charged.

This is really unfortunate! What is saddening is that ACER is very unconcerned and provide only provoking responses to a legitimate request. It is indeed unaccceptable!!!
