I have a Acer laptop, it is a Aspire 6930. I am looking to buy a restore disc. Thanks.  Is there some way to reload the factory settings? Is there a site I can go to from the company to find tech support.

Hi Phil-3    I want to thank you for the answer, but I bought the computer off of ubid.com. It was listed has having vista installed, but there was nothing on the computer and even the hidden file to restore it was gone. Is there anything else I can try to do?

What exactly comes on when you start your computer, does it come up with the acer logo, is the computer itself an acer. If the place you bought it from did a clean boot using another cd, this effectively wiped out all acer back up info. Have you tried restarting computer and holding alt button and pressing f10 repeatedly.
