Hi everyone! My acer netbook is about 2yrs old. It has been running Windows 7 Home Edition and it is an aspire one. For a while now it has been going very slowly. I know this is in part to the amount of ram I have installed. But at the present time, I cannot afford to increase it. Some programs have stopped working and I thought I would eliminate unnecessary programs and free up memory that way. Problems began to happen after I moved and currently I don't have access to my desktop which it was networked with. I thought to reinstall windows, but my netbook stopped detecting my external dvd drive, and unfortunately I did not create an image of my harddrive because I thought I wouldn't need it since I have the external dvd drive. Is there another way I can wipe the hard drive and start over even though I cannot access my dvd drive and have no disk image?
