I have an Aspire ONE 532h made in 2010. It came with 1GB RAM. I replaced it with 2GB and a BIOS upgrade. After Windows updates half the RAM often goes missing. CMOS usually sees it but Windows does not. Eventually it reappears. I thought the problem was related to the display driver but I can't be sure. I just did a big Windows 7 update and it's gone again. Performance really sucks on 1 GB.

Good day
Which OS and bit are you running on the machine? Also to better see where the missing ram is, go to resource monitor via task manager, performance, resource monitor, memory. calculate all the ram in, use, standby, modified, etc. It must amount to 2G

Freeza

Hi Jorovitz,
Could be the RAM you put in not being fully compatible.
I've had this happen a number of times with various different computers.
