Have been using a first gen NTrig pen with my R7 flawlessly until today.

At first pen stopped working at all.  Rebooted computer and now pen registers a touch from 1/4 inch above the screen.  As expected the results in phantom clicks and letter trails when inking text.  Weird.  Changed out batteries and no help.

What could have caused this sudden defect?  How can I fix it?

Problem solved!  Just pulled the tip off, cleaned it - had a little black oily stuff on it - and replaced.  Works great now :-)
