Hi, I'm "Santiago" from Argentina. I bought recently one Aspire V5-71p-6648 with windows 8, which then changed it to windows 7.
Currently, I can not find the video driver apparently carries the "Intel HD 3000", but I downloaded several and none work, malfunctioning screen like the picture you sent down here.
When I uninstall the driver is specific and generic Windows, screen works perfectly.
Any idea? Or just left back to windows 8?
Thank you.
Correction: The problem persists with windows 8

V5-571P only shipped with Windows 8 and no Windows 7 drivers are available on Acer driver page

Hi, thanks for the reply. After installing Windows 8 and download the drivers from the Acer website, the problem persists, however on an external monitor works normally.
Any idea? Any other driver?

I have the same problem.

As HK stated, the problem is with the LCD, converter or cable. The fact that an external monitor has no problem is evidence that the drivers and graphics board are working as they should. You will need to seek service to rectify your problem.

I still think it is a driver issue the screen works when the video card driver is disabled when it is enabled the screen looks like it does in the picture in the post above, also it wont play dvds. When I hook it to my tv via the hdmi cable it wont detect the tv either. I'll try some more things and i'll let you know what happens. Thanks for your help.

It turns out dvd's wouldn't play because i was runningWindows 7 basic. the Hdmi out works for the TV and the laptop screen is distorted when the intel hd 3000 is enabled. When disabled Hdmi don't work but laptop screen works fine using the windows generic drivers. I'm on your side for this one is there anyway to narrow it down to the LCD screen, converter or cable without replacing everything?
Thanks,
John
